Winner is all a Glow
Barbara Provis had something to glow about last week when she won the ourlocalguide.co.uk competition for two tickets to Glow, the processional multi-media dance production on the site of The Lightbox gallery and museum.
The picture editor of The Resident, the newsletter for Byfleet, West Byfleet and Pyrford Residents’ Association, is pictured receiving her tickets from Tamalie Newbery Deputy Director of The Lightbox outside the building which is expected to open later this summer.
Glow brings together professional dancers and members of the community of all ages in a combination of music, lights and dance who will perform both outside and inside the new contemporary building on Victoria Way in four performances this week. (April 3 and 4). It is a joint two-year initiative between Woking Dance Festival and The Lightbox and funded by a £50,000 award from SEEDA and Arts Council England.
A delighted Barbara said she thought the building was looking fantastic and was eagerly awaiting the opening.
